Valda’s an athlete for all seasons

FELLOW athletes called David Daries by his nickname “dominee”.

Daries competed in the 1970s and early 1980s .

Booysen and Daries were middle to long distance athletes of the South Peninsula Amateur Athletics Club.

In addition to her many accomplishments on the track in the 800m and 1500m, she was also a champion road runner and cross country athlete.

Ford was also a nifty relay athlete, helping the 1984 women’s relay team to a SAAAB record.
