IN 1985, the Mulligan twins put one over Shaheeda Majiet, but later in the season, Majiet bounced back and beat them in SA record times of 12,0 secs in the 100m and 24,84 secs in the 200m. By the end of 1986, Suezette Arendse had regained the SA 100m record in 11,7 secs and the 200m 24,0 secs. At the Cape Herald Meeting Majiet said: When our president Mr Harry Hendricks called on us this afternoon to be proud of ourselves as athletes under the non racial fold, the words affected me in a way I cannot really describe. But what I know is that I went to the starting-blocks with the intention to show the world that I am proud to be an athlete under Sacos.”

I was just wondering whether there are any records of the senior secondary schools selections winners that have been kept during the time of Sacos and where I would be able to find these records?
